we’re pleased to finally announce the release date for our album in
North America. since we started the band we’ve been waiting to start
getting our music out in the states since so many of our favourite bands
are from, and now at long last we have a home. the album will be out in
the USA and Canada digitally on October 12th plus also
available on CD and hopefully vinyl, which we all know is the best.

and yes this does mean that we’ll be coming over for some shows but more
news on that later on… we’ve been waiting about 5 years for this to
come off so we’re pretty excited right now!

over at drowned in sound they run an alternative prize to the british mercury music prize, called the neptune music prize…fire like this has been nominated, and unlike the mercury prize, the public get to decide which album wins. so if you want to vote for us (or the fall, arctic monkeys, these new puritans or anyone) then head here.

after touring across uk, usa, canada and mainland europe through the autumn, we’re finishing up with a our biggest hometown show to day. december 8th at the concorde 2 – tickets go onsale at 9am friday 23rd july from wegottickets.

the video for our new single heartsink is now up, on nme.com for the time being, then it’ll hit all our sites soon after. we asked a load of BRS heads to come down to london with us and destroy something sentimental to them, this is what came out of it.

this probably makes little sense to people outside the UK, but here at home we’ve been made single of the week on BBC Radio 1, by the kind BRS supporter fearne cotton. for a band like little old us, having a few million people hear our song each day on such a mainstream show is pretty nuts, so if you wanna go hear us played next to the scissor sister or kanye west then head to bbc.co.uk/radio1 .
